I have been searching the BUSH name for the past thirty years and have traced them back to WILLIAM BUSH (1758 Va.-1827 Pendleton Co., Ky.) JOHN BUSH (1799 Pendleton Co., Ky.-1877 Marion Co., Mo.)migrated to Missouri in 1818. He married a MARGARET GARDNER (1808-1847) from Pendleton Co., Ky. The BUSH family intermarried with the KIDWELLS, MULLINS, and TURNER families who also migrated to Marion Co. Mo. from Pendleton Co., Ky. The TAYLORS, FOREMANS, LANDERS and BOWLES from Herrod's Creek in Bourbon Co., Ky. also are married into the BUSH family. These are all on the paternal side of my family. I have no documentation for the birth date or birth place of WILLIAM BUSH. I believe him to be the WILLIAM BUSH who appears on a muster sheet of Gen. George Rogers Clark's Virginia Regiment which marched to Vincennes to seize control of the Northwest Territory. I have no proof that they are one and the same but circumstantial evidence and family lore. Can someone prove me wrong?
