| Calling all Henry's and Conklin's of MINNESOTA and other places! Looking for ancestors of mine: Francis Henry and his father Joseph Edward Henry, Sr. We 'think' Joseph's father was Louis. Joseph was married to Agnes Stone (possibly LaPierre) who was from Massachusetts. It appears they are from Canada, possibly to Louisiana and then Minnesota and Wisconsin. Joseph's father was Louis (Lewis) Henry and have information now that his wife's name was Esther Beyer. Also from MY side is Bonin (possibly Peloquin), Thibodeau, Durand and Felix from my mother's side (Lucile Mary Felix - she was known as 'Vi or Viola'). The Durand's (dit LaFortune) came from France, to Quebec and then the lower 48, some to Minnesota, others to Wisconsin and Louisiana. On hubby's side we have the elusive Conklin's - His father was Gordon Arley Conklin and Gordon's father was Pearl Andrew Conklin...they were from the Osage/Park Rapids area of Minnesota... we think Pearl's father was John Conklin. We also have found information that John's wife's name was Jenny (Jennie?) Davis. That is all.. very interested in typing the Conklin's to their heritage. On Pete's side also is his Grandmother.. Nancy Violet Stewart (sometimes Steward). Her father was Phineas Steward, married to Nettie May Darling.. the 'elusive' Nettie May. Phineas had 2 previous wives before Nettie May. I have information on the Steward's back to Duncan Steward, the 1st shipbuilder in Rowley, ME. On Pete's mother's side (he's my husband) we have Chubb. She was Ella May Chubb and her parent's were Arba Chubb and Ella Mabel Mills. We think Arba's father was Edwin A. Chubb married to a Catherine ??. Ella Mabel Mills parent's were Edward Carlton Mills (from VA)and Ella Harriet Eastman. It appears Edward Carlton Mill's father was Charles and that's all I have!! Sure would appreciate ANY help!! Thanks.......Nancy Conklin |
