LEAK/LOFTIS Family: This original ambrotype photograph depicts Mrs. James Powell Loftis with an unknown child. Artemicia and her husband were survivors of the Battle of Atlanta, and were among its refugees in 1864. She was the mother of 11 children, of whom 7 lived to adulthood.
