| The Ferlita and Ficarrotta families immigrated from Santo Stefano Quisquina, Sicily to the United States in the late 1800's and settled in Tampa, Florida. Most of the information obtained before the 19th century was provided by the church in Santo Stefano Quisqinna. The Ferlita / Ficarrotta Family Tree provides data back to the 1500's. And the Ferlita surname is believed to originate from Spain when the King of Argon ruled the Kingdom of Sicily.
