I am a first generation Canadian with roots that are mostly in England, Scotland, & Ireland. My parents, Derek George Henry and Gillian Mary Richardson Oswald, brought our family here in 1969.Grandparents: George Ernest Henry, born Woolwich, England - 1911. Monica Beatrice Fairhead, born Eltham, England - 1919. -They had five sons & five daughters. George Hutchison Oswald, born Dufries, Scotland. Margaret Richarson, born Edinborough, Scotland. -They had four daughters.Great Grandparents: Patrick Joseph Henry, born Kildare, Ireland -1870's. -He had four sons & four daughters. Albert Frederick Fairhead, born Northampton, Eng. -1877. Florence Jane Lamkin, born Garvesend, Kent -1884. -They had three daughters.Other common surnames include Wilkee, Morton, & Taylor.I look forward to sharing any information that may help us both get further on this fascinating quest.
