I have recently been researching the Hoodenpyle Families in America. I now have the entire family listing from 1756 - Present. Please stop by to view added members and do make contact should your family cross our family tree. Additional Surnames included are Campbell, Nichols, Hatfield, Kilgore, Turner & Rains. Most of these names come from the Sequatchie county area in Dunlap and Pikeville, Tennessee. The Hoodenpyles were farmers that spread out to Warren county McMinnville, TN 25 miles north of Dunlap. More moved to NW Texas, Ark, Missouri, & OK. From those areas, more moved to Washington state, Idhao, Utah, and California. All the Hoodenpyles are related to Philip G. Hoodenpyl of Holland where his first settlement started in Buncombe County, (Asheville) North Carolina where he is considered one of the first families of the county. He later helped to build the small town of Pikeville, (Bledsole Co.) TN.
My paternal family is listed in the Philip G. Hoodenpyl descendants. My maternal family is listed in the Thomas Campbell descendants.
