"Our "hunt" for the HUNTS. Updated September 5, 2000

I am researching my great-grandfather Richard M. & Elizabeth Hunt family from Harrison & Monongalia Counties, West Virginia. Richard was born about 1802 in Virginia and died in Hamilton County, NE in 1888. The family moved to Lucas County, IA in about 1858 where Elizabeth died in 1864. Richard married my great-grandmother Mary Ellen Robinson Summers in 1866 and moved to Hamilton County, NE in 1870 where they were one of the first homesteaders in Beaver Precinct. After the death of Richard, his wife and my grandfather Charles L. Hunt moved back to Mills County, IA where my father and I were born. I need help on birth and marriage dates for Richard & Elizabeth as well as names of their parents. I have located several descendents in Wetzel Co., WV, Mills Co., IA and Eastern NE and will be happy to share information.
