Find Family

* THE HUTCHINSON - O'HARA HOME PAGE*

Updated June 16, 2007

Are there any REHM descendants from Pfullingen, Germany? I have information I can share!

Some names you will find in this site are Cobb, Hutchinson, Kane and Morgan in the Hutchinson/Cobb line.

Morgan, O’Hara, Rehm, Ohnmeis, Stanton, Tracy and White in the O’Hara/Rehm line.

I have several goals in creating this page.

1. To provide a place where all living descendants can come
together and share whatever we know about our various lines.
I do have other information that I will share on an
individual basis. Please e-mail me.

2. Share a few old pictures.

3. To find some answers for the several places where I have hit "brick walls".

Seth White's family lived in Waterbury, VT for many years. In September 2001 we were in Waterbury looking for information. We found Seth's gravestone in Hope Cemetery in Waterbury. The cemetery is located right in back of the Congregational Church. What a wonderful find that was. I have never seen a stone like it. It is probably 3 ft by 6 ft. A white stone with his White Genealogy back to William who was on the Mayflower. Seth's family is descended from William and Susannah White's son Resolved White. The names are still readable. The sad part is most of the small print on the stone is to worn to read. Seth's son Charles A. White married Eliza Morgan daughter of Henry and Mary (Magill) Morgan August 01, 1850 in Waitsville, VT. I'd love to hear from any other descendants of Henry and Mary Morgan or Seth and Hannah White.

Nehemiah Hutchinson married Celia Farnsworth in Washington, NH in 1806. I am convinced he is part of the Hutchinson family that was in Lyndeborough, NH in the late 1700s. He may be a great-grandson of Ambrose Hutchinson of Salem, MA and a grandson of John Hutchinson of Lyndeborough, NH. I can’t prove this. I haven’t found anything that can be confirmed earlier than his marriage.

Esther Rowe married Joseph Hutchinson in Windsor, VT Dec 1, 1830. Her death certificate says she was born in Weathersfield, VT and was 71 yrs, 6 mo old when she died in 1881. I can’t find her birth or her parents.

Susie Morgan married Etwell Cobb. Her parents were John and Elizabeth (Kane) Morgan of Springfield, Vermont. I've been in touch with several descendants of John and Elizabeth. Mary Ellen, Ella, Barbara and Sandy. What fun to communicate and share what we have. Are there any more descendants out there? John and Elizabeth had 16 children. 13 of them grew to be adults. Many of the descendants are buried in Summer Hill Cemetery in Springfield. Susie and Etwell are in Oakland.
I've added a different picture that includes one more generation and I'm sure we all thank neice Cathy for providing these pictures.

The O’Hara line is lost in Boston in the mid 1800s. Edward Julian O’Hara married Madeline Elizabeth White February 20, 1905 in Massachusetts. His parents were Henry and Elizabeth (Leife) O’Hara. Henry O’Hara died December 31,1910 and Elizabeth (Leife) O’Hara died October 31, 1931 both in Dorchester, MA. I have recently been in touch with a descendant of Anne Cambridge who was Henry's mother. I know the first Henry probably died around 1849 or so as his wife Anne Cambridge remarried in 1850. Her second marriage was to an Augustus Pollex and they were married for over 50 years! I would like more information about this family.

Minnie Amanda Stanton married Edwin Porter White November 10, 1880 in Palmer, MA. Minnie’s family was from Roxbury, VT. We can go back to Benjamin who was in the Dover, NH area in 1723. Benjamin married Eleanor Ricker. Their son William was a Revolutionary War soldier from Strafford, NH. I visited his gravesite in Strafford, NH in 2001 and was so pleased to find he had his American Flag. My thanks to the Veteran's group who was responsible for putting it there.

My German branch includes the Ohnmeis/Ohnmeiss family from Wangen/Stuttgart, Germany and the Rehm family from Pfullingen.

I'm sorry this isn't a better picture. Maybe another time we will get one that doesn't have to be edited. It is unususal to see the genealogy on a stone. Are there any other descendants?
  • Edward Julian and Robert O'Hara (17 KB)
This was taken in the summer of 1906. I always thought the lady was Elizabeth O'Hara but new information has me wondering if it is possible it could be Anne Cambridge O'Hara Pollex. If anyone can help it would be appreciated.
