The Baldwin-Bate Family TreeNames Researching:Baldwin, Bate, Beale, Clegg, Holmes, Moore, Jones, Marsh, Holmes, Gould, Shires, Newland, Parker, Pask.Of the names above only Baldwin and Beale are on the Baldwin side of the family - generally from the Monmouthshire area. The rest are on the female line (Bate) although they relate to the maternal and paternal sides equally. They are from the Yorkshire, Lancashire, Lincolnshire, Worcestershire, Montgomeryshire areas so far. I have not made much progress so far, as there are a few brick walls ie. Jones - Mary Jane born in Guilsfield, MNT 1877, mother Elizabeth Jones, father unknown - I am unable to locate Elizabeth Jones! Holmes - William a WW1 Marine, who was killed in action - no regiment or family knowledge of where he was killed.I could go on and on - as we all could.
