Hi there! Welcome!
I'm helping my uncle, who has been researching our ancestors for about 5 years. We're willing to share any information with people researching the same family lines.

Our main surnames are: Knauer, Reinhart, Stauffer, and Yoder.

Other surnames in our family tree include: Adam, Bablinger, Balthauser, Baum, Bicher, Bresaler, Echternach, Emes, Fair, Fink, Frey, Greth, Gulden, Hoerner, Harner, Hottler, Hufnagle, Hunter, Kauffman, Kegerries, Kutz, Muffert, Redcay, Reider, Reiner, Schlockerman, Strunk, Warfield.

On my mother's side, I'm also looking for more information about Wegmann.

We are currently looking for more information about the following people all in the area of Lancaster & Berks Co., PA.:

Knauer, Adam (Sr.) - b. 2/8/1765 d. 4/5/1845. Married Hannah Hoerner on 8/9/1792. Father of Adam Knauer (Jr. b. 9/27/1798). I have no records of him prior to 1790, when he was in Amity township, Berks Co. PA. I'm looking for information about his parents, birth place, and siblings (if any).

Some of what I know about early Adam KNAUER: In 1790 he was a sponser at a baptism at the Schwartzwald Reformed Church, Exeter Township, Berks County, PA. He continued to be a member of that church through at least the end of the centuary. Almost a year before he shows up in the church records, two other KNAUERs make appearences:

Catharina KNAUER is a sponser in 1789 and marries John JÄGER in 1792. In 1793 a Johannes and Catharina JAEGER sponsor one of Adam KNAUER's sons.

Christina KNAUER is also a sponser in 1789 and marries Samuel UMSTATT later that same year.

I recently discovered another baptism record from the Millbach Reformed Church in Mill Creek Township, Lancaster County (now Lebanon County), PA:

Catharine of Adam KNAUER and Margaret, b. Dec 15, 1769; bapt. Jan 28, 1770.

This has led me to hypothesize that perhaps Catharina, Christina and Adam were all siblings who moved to Berks County around 1789. Adam and Margaret could be the parents of all of them. The time period is right, the name is right (although I've not seen any other Margarets, this would make the fourth Adam in a row) all I need is proof :).

Stauffer, Samuel - b. 8/?/1778 d. 6-7/27/1850. Married to Sarah ?. Father of Henry Stauffer (b. 7/28/1814). Any information about Samuel or his parents would be useful.

Strunk, Jacob - Married to Maria Kutz. Father of Sarah Strunk (b. 5/30/1802). Any information about Jacob or his parents would be useful.

Fink, John - Married to Caroline Balthauser. Father of Mary L. Fink (b. 4/25/1861). Any information about John or his parents would be useful.
