I started my family research in 1992 with very little information I had, grandparents names and some dates and names of a few gr grandparents. With this information I went to the Woonsocket, RI library, picked a little more there, but best of all they informed me about the American French Genealogy Society in Woonsocket. I immediately became a member, and have been doing most all my research there. There I was able to trace my lines all the way to France, with the very helpful members there. I highly recomend the AFGS. I also picked lots of info from cousins I met on the Web.

  My primary ancestor is Vincent Brun m. to Renee Braude who came from France to Acadia, now Nova Scotia their descendant then moved to Yamaska Canada. From there to Warwick RI, and then Woonsocket RI where I was born.
