My grandmother was a Turner, but nobody in the family ever knew anything about that family. I spent years trailing down the Humphrey Turner and John Turner lines, thinking one of those was the emigrant ancestor, but could not make a connection. Finally I discovered George Turner of Bridgewater MA, and he turned out to be a common ancestor for both my husband and myself, so together we have compiled a good amount of information on his descendants. By sharing what we have, we hope to find some new relations. Some of the surnames you will find here associated with these Turners are: Edson, Alden, Snow, Churchill, Bisbee, Merrill, Morrill, Austin, Raymond, Koch, Cook, Stevenson, Bates, Sears. Feel free to contact us if you have these Turners that went to Franklin County and Berkshire County MA. I've spent days trying to upload my reports to this website, but after a half hour or so it just locks up and the report never arrives. |
