Hi! Researching family history is something I really enjoy doing! I have two major families that I'm collecting information on: the RISEWICKS, and the PHILIPPI's and as time permits I'll be adding my other lines. The RISEWICK family (also spelled many other ways including REUSSWIG, REISWIG, RISWIG, REISWICK, RESWICK, RISWICK, RICEWICK, RYSWICK). The family originates with Johannes REUSSWIG who immigrated to the US in 1842, and settled in Bucks, County, PA which later became part of Northampton County, PA. The Risewick's lived in mainly Northampton, Luzerne, and Columbia Counties in PA. About 1870 they started the westward movement to IL, KS, NE, IA, SD, ID, WA. One branch did a eastward movement and went to NY. If you have a RISEWICK in your family tree PLEASE contact me.
