Samuel's Dilemma
I am seeking the names and history of my grandparents. Surname MORGAN. My father MORGAN, thomas a. was born 1892 in Walnut Ridge, Randolph Co. AR. He was living with the WEATHFORD, arch family according to the 1900 Lawrance Co. Marion Township, AR. Census.
He was age 8 and listed as nephew. Francis, wife of Arch maiden was name WILSON. Francis must have had a sister who married a MORGAN for Thomas to be a nephew.
In the 1910 Census of Independance co. Black River Township, AR. Thomas was living with the Anderson WILSON, family. He was age 17 and listed as a boarder. His sister Lizzie MORGAN was living with SHOULTZ family, Mike as neice.
Thomas MORGAN next appeared on Lonoke, AR marriage record 1914. Information of his locaction and activities between 1910-1914 would help.
He worked in sawmills and there was a mill in the Pine Bluff, AR where he may have worked during this period of time.
I have not been able to find their parents. They may be Harvey and Sarah MORGAN. I have A marriage Certificate for Harvey and Sarah in Randolph co. Wiley Township AR. dated 17 Jan. 1889.
My branch of MORGAN came from Va. through Cannon, TN to the following Counties in AR: Independence, Lawrence, Greene, Lonoke.
New clues: 1880 Census, Watkins, township, Dent Co. Mo. lists WILSON, Thomas age 38 b.Tenn., wife Nancy age 37, b. Tenn.with family including;
Sarah age 12, b.Mo. Surnames: WILSON,SMITH,and SHOULTZ are included in my research. HELP!!!1920 Census Bynel Twp. Jackson Co. AR. John Shoultz Head age 28,..Lizzie age 27,Wife,My dad's sister) William age 4 Son.
