Find Family

We visited Germany in June, 1998 and met many nice people in the Neunkirchen-Seelscheid area, including several BALENSIEFER and PÜTZSTÜCK familes. No doubt they are all related to Julie's family though we are not yet sure how. However, we did meet Willi BALENSIEFER of Höfferhof whose grandfather, Heinrich Wilhelm, was a brother to Julie's ancestor, Theodore BALENSIEFER! Willi's grandfather was the eldest son, inheriting the family farm so Theodore and 3 other brothers emigrated to LaSalle County, Illinois.

At our August, 1998 MOSELEY reunion in Clay County, IL, we learned the old MOSELEY Cemetery was in bad need of restoration! On Nov 7, 1998 we cleared and reclaimed this old burial ground. We also found further information linking our Arthur MOSELEY of Buckingham Co, VA to 1648 immigrant William MOSELEY of Lower Norfolk. Our next reunion will be held Sunday, August 14, 2005 in Flora, Illinois.
