STILLEY NC>IL>MO>MI 1800-1945
Hezekiah Stilley brought his family from the coastal colony of Hyde County, North Carolina and by 1830 had settled in the southern Illinois area of Washington County. In 1853, Hezekiah's son, Winfield, purchased land in Perry Co. and in 1900 he was residing in Murphysboro, Jackson Co. Check the STILLEY Report below to view 8 generations of Hezekiah's descendents through son Winfield b. 1829 in Washington County, IL.

    After many years of family research, I found the burial place of my kinsman, Philip Vincent, one of the patriarchs of my maternal line. He brought his family from Pamelia, Jefferson Co., New York, arriving before Michign declared statehood in 1837. He is buried at Pioneer Cemetery, Nottawa, in St. Joseph Co., Michigan.

    Laura (Brantley) Brooks was b. in Tiptonville,TN in 1883. She married James Albert Brooks and they came to MO where three children were born, two sons and a daughter, Maggie, born in Cardwell, MO on 31 Aug 1905.
