      1. Robert DAY, born 31 July 1604 in Kilburn, York, ENG1; died Bef. 20 May 1648 in Hartford, CT2. He was the son of 2. Richard DAY and 3. Anna KIRBY. He married (1) Mary. He married (2) Editha STEBBINS3 Abt. 1636 in Standhead Abbot, Hereford, ENG. She was the daughter of William STEBBINS (STEBBINGS) and Mary.

Notes for Robert DAY:
      Robert DAY came to New England on the "Elizabeth"1634. He first settled at Cambridge, where he became a Freeman, 6 MAY 1635. he was an original proprietor of Hartford, CT, with Rev. Hooker, by 1639. His name is on the monument erected to honor of the founders of Hartford, CT.

      Robert's wife, Mary, d. soon after their arrival. He was probably in the company of the 100 people who accompanied Rev. Hooker through the wilderness to Hartford in 1636. ( Source: "A Genealogical Register of the male line of Robert Day, of Hartford, CT", p. 5).

  iii.   Mary DAY, born Abt. 1641 in Hartford, CT; died 17 October 1725 in Hatfield, MA; married (1) Thomas STEBBINS; married (2) Samuel ELY 28 October 1659 in Springfield, MA; married (3) Deac. John COLEMAN 11 December 1666 in CT.
  iv.   Sarah DAY, born 1638 in Hartford, CT; died 19 September 1677 in Hatfield, MA; married (1) Samuel KELLOGG; married (2) Nathaniel GUNN 17 November 1658 in Springfield, MA.
  Notes for Sarah DAY:
      She was killed by an Indian raiding party.
