| Welcome......... Obviously this is still a work in progress. I welcome any additional information or corrections. I consider myself a novice and give much credit to my success to information gathered by Gerald Logsdon some years ago. Also to Donald Ohnemus who was gracious enough to share his many years of research with me. To many faceless friends and new found family who I have bumped into on the net that were kind enough to share their hours of hard work. I am in your debt. My roots are deep in Iowa. Especially Marion, Lucas and Warren Counties. My journey has taken me through Kentucky,Missouri the Carolina's, Maryland and Pennsylvania. The branches have extended to Germany, France and England. The following surnames have sprouted most often: Surnames from my paternal side are: Ohnemus,Shounkwiler/Shonkwiler,Gass,Wadle,Ripperger, Surnames from my maternal side are: Logsdon (Logston), Caviness (Cabiniss), Fowler, Harper and Vestal. Below I have listed reports for some of my current brickwalls. Any assistance or insight is greatly appreciated. I have a growing number of old family photos.
