| This Home Page is dedicated to the decendants of Jana Uroda and his wife Catherine [Boba] Uroda. We are researching the family surname Uroda. We have traced our family from Buffalo,NY and Detroit,MI back to Poland before WW1. Our great-grandparents (Jana & Catherine [Boba] Uroda)lived in a town called Zator, which is located S.W. of Krakow,Poland. We are also researching the word "Uroda". The word dates back to the ancient Slavic language beyond the ninth century AD. In Poland,the word Uroda means "handsome or pretty" depending on which gender is in the context. Modern Polish descibes the word Uroda as "beutiful face." All help and info will be greatly appreciated and we are willing to share our info also. We are also trying to find possible links to other Uroda families in the US and other countries. |
