Warren Weimer's Family Home Page

I have been doing family history and genealogy searches since 1991. My paternal Weimer family name is obviously German and that has led me to do a lot of my research into German archives. My great grandfather Jakob Gottlieb Weimer with his family immigrated to the US in 1880 from the town of Oberjettingen, a small town 25 miles south of Stuttgart. My paternal mother's side has the name Veit. My great grandfather Ludwig(Louis) Veit with his family immigrated to the US in 1885. He was born in Bempflingen, Germany again a town near Stuttgart. Both of the Weimer and Veit families settled first in Americus, KS.The other names I am researching are my mother's maiden name Book (Buch) on her paternal side and McMillian on her maternal side. My wife's ancestor's names are Schmidt, Jochens, Thomas, and Higgins. I am willing to share any information I have. My database contains over 5,500 names.

  This Weimer Family Tree traces the patriarchal Weimer surname back to approximately 1540. My Weimer family lived in the German towns of Oberjettingen, Oeschelbronn, Moetzingen and Bondorf for over 400 years. These are little towns south of Stuttgart about 25 miles.
