| Donald Munroe and his wife Margater MacDonald left Scotland in the ealry 1800s. At this time I do not know if they were married prior to their departure or after the arrived. It is known that Donald arrived in Sydney and traveled overland to the area of Loch Lomond of the County of Richmond in what was then refered to as New Scotland , now Cape Breton , Nova Scotia. The Munroes of Cape Breton are now stretched out from the east coast to the west coast, from Canada to the United States. The surnames connected with this family are many.
