The Villages Genealogical Society and Family Tree Maker are co-sponsoring a one day conference with four expert genealogy speakers and exhibits on the patio. All the presentations will be repeated three times in morning, afternoon and evening sessions.

Tackling those boxes of photographs doesn't have to be overwhelming. It's about looking, saving, and sharing your images - and Maureen will show you how. Known as the Photo Detective, Maureen is an internationally known expert in photo identification, photo preservation and family history. She knows how to find the family history in your photographs.
Turn your family history into a lasting legacy with Family Tree Maker. This presentation shows the basics of how to get started with Family Tree Maker, and also includes a couple of advanced topics. Duff Wilson has worked with Family Tree Maker since 2004. He has twenty years of software design and development experience and has earned national awards for his work. Duff is an avid genealogist and works closely with countless genealogists, ranging from novice to expert.
Learn how to combine DNA test results with family tree charts, so that you can see a clear picture of the relationships between genetics and genealogy. Pierre has been working in genealogy since 1972, and programming since 1965. He founded Progeny in 1995 and has been helping people tell the story of their family ever since.
Using his background in applied computer science Stefan has created Family Book Creator, the first Family Tree Maker plugin. He started using Family Tree Maker in 1999 and now has 16 years of experience in genealogy. Family Book Creator has been developed over a long period of time, and because of the enhancements suggested by various family researchers and included in new versions of the software, it is now easy to present your data to other family members in lovely books.

Stop by the Exhibits Area to ask our Family Tree Maker experts questions. You can also sign up at the Family Tree Maker support bar on the patio to schedule a time to bring your laptop for a hands-on support session. Support staff will be available from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Exhibits on the Patio
There will be a vendor fair on the patio at The Waterfront Inn from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. during the Conference. All four presenters will be on hand to answer questions. Maureen Taylor will be autographing copies of her books and Family Tree Maker software will be on sale for 50% or more off the regular price.
