| I am researching my Batchelor family. The earliest known, is Nathaniel Meekins Batchelor born in NC according to all census records abt. 1810-11. Nothing has been found to date as to where in NC. He married Elsey Cox 30 May 1835 in Walton co, GA. He died in Henderson co, TX in 1870. Elsey was born in GA according to census, and must have died there. She was not present in any census found in TX. Together they had 8 children: Hillard Austin, Richard James, Robert Means, Martha Frances, William Washington, John Littleton "Lit", and Georgia Ann Batchelor. Nathaniel married 2nd Catherine Mildred Kendrick Kennedy 2 Sept 1866 in Smith co, TX. To them was born Ella Batchelor. My next line is through Robert Means Batchelor b. 8 Jun 1841 AL, married Mary Elizabeth Montgomery 14 Jul 1874 Erath co, TX, died 6 Jul 1909. Mary was daughter of Francis Marion Montgomery and Jerusia Adeline Roberson. Mary was born 22 May 1854, d. 23 May 1917, both Mary and Robert are buried in Boxelder, TX, Red River co. Their children were: Robert Marion, George Montgomery, Sametta Roarke, John Floyd, Richard Emmett, Ruth Polyanna, and James Ernest Batchelor. Next line is John "Floyd" Batchelor b. 8 Aug 1884 TX, d. 23 Sept 1969. Married Tiney Burns b. 18 June 1885, both are buried in Idabell, OK, McCurtain co. I have information on all these people, and would enjoy sharing with others!!! I need help connecting Nathaniel with other Batchelor/Bachelor's in North Carolina. I am also researching Duncan, Lewis, Burns, Dean, and have Montgomery back to Orange co, N.C. 1700's. I will enjoy sharing with others!! Thank you!!
