I am working on the Joseph Alexander HEADLEY family. He is my grandfather; born in Pettis Co. Missouri on Oct 3, 1882. He married Elcie May COUCH, born May 4, 1885. I am also working on my maternal grandparents family. They are John Stinchcomb WHITE, born Jan 2, 1878; and Mary Ethel GOGGANS, born Jan 26, 1881. My oldest HEADLEY ancestor is Reuben Headley, b. 1794 in Essex Co, NJ. My oldest WALKER ancestor is Joseph H. WALKER b. 1794 in Georgia. He married Mary GAGE in Lauderdale Co, Ala. I am trying to tie several Headley databases together; especially the N.J. Headleys and the Ohio Headleys. I also am working on a large number of Joseph Headleys in my search. There seems to be twenty or more Joseph Headleys which I feel are the key to my searches. I would appreciate any input from any sources. Key Family names are: Headley, Walker, White, Goggans, Moore, Haggard, Maynard, Nix, Gentry, Cole, Williams, Black, Johnson, Israel, Coffey, Ferguson, Oliver, and Couch. Key states are: Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Indiana, Kansas, Arkansas, Virginia, Georgia, Arizona, California, Ohio, New Jersey, and both North and South Carolina. As with most researchers, I have mainly depended on many other people for sharing information. My files are not perfect now, nor will will they ever be. I have chosen to merge a lot of family files and depend on their reliability, rather than wait until information can be proven 100%. Much of my closer family has sources and confirmation, however, and I will strive to share only good information.
