* The Roots of Rich Langley Home Page and Associated Lines*

Updated September 6, 2000

This page is dedicated to the descendants of Allen Langley, my 5 th Great Grandfather, and John Henry Fuller, my 3 rd Great Grandfather. My name is Rich Langley and I've been researching my family tree for about 4 years now. I've had the good fortune to have many years of research shared with me by other members of my family. I've taken us into the computer age and have really had great luck finding new cousins over the internet. My family tree now has about 6000 individuals. The Langley side of my family traces back to Allen Langley who was born about 1737 in PA or DE. He married Ruth (Harlan) Heald and had at least three children. Ruth is said to be his second wife. I've not yet discovered who his first wife was. The family was known to have lived in Kennet Township, Chester County, PA and Christianna Hundred, New Castle County, DE. Around 1785 the family moved to Randolph County, NC. By the 1820 Census, the family had moved to Clinton County, OH, and by 1830, they were in the state of Indiana, where our family still lives.
The Fuller side of my family traces back to Caswell County, North Carolina in the late 1700s. The family lived for a time in Russell County, Virginia, then Pike County, Kentucky and around 1835, moved to Madison County, Indiana. I still have much to do with my Fuller line, but have found quite a bit so far (also with the help of some wonderful people).

Some of the names in my tree include: Adamson, Babb, Barnhart, Bogue, Caproon, Corn, Crousore, Fuller, Garner, Grave, Graves, Greaves, Harlan, Harland, Heald, Heathcoate, Hollingsworth, Langley, McCubbins, Mendenhall, Needham, Nienaber, Richey, Ryan, Smith, Swisher, Tyler, Wilson, and many, many more.

I freely share information and collect any Langley family information on any Langley family that I can find. I hope someday to have an extensive database of Langley family members along with family trees for all of the branches. I currently have 6 or 7 developing Langley trees other than my own line. It's my hope to become a reliable source for the Langley name.

I also have a great deal of info on families in Howard, Tipton, and Madison County, Indiana.

I have much more information than what is shown in the outline descendant trees. I have census records, marriage records, birth and death records, obituaries, etc. I also stopped the lines at around 1900, so as to protect the information of those still living. If you suspect a tie to a line in any of these families, please send me an e-mail and I'll be more than happy to see if you do indeed tie in.

I will gladly help anyone that I can and will freely share any information that I have. If any of these names sound familiar, please let me know. Thanks!
