We are trying to prove who the father was of our brothers---John and Jonathan (twins) born , Jan.1, 1800 in N.C., Charles born 1804 in N.C. and Reuben born 1806 in TN. We have a copy of a letter written in 1892 that tells their mother was Mary Barns who came to TN from Anson Co. N.C.
I found Moses Vinson in 1800 Anson Co. N.C. Census (no proof) - - - and close by is Reuben Vinson who could be the father of Moses. I have a gut feeling this is our family because there was a Moses Vinson at the same time we found the sons in White Co. TN 1820-1830-1840 Census.
I have found where Moses Vinson served in the Rev. War for N.C. .
I have not been able to find a marriage for Moses Vinson or Mary Barns / Barnes. I have not found any Wills (here in TN) for either of the sons or older Vinsons.
We have info on the early Vincents / Vinsons but we cannot make a connection with any of the families.

Descendants of William D.(Buffalo Bill) Wilson and Elizabeth Allen
Our family was located in Rochingham County of North Carolina in the 1850 Census.
William Wilson age 29 and wife Elizabeth Wilson age 24 were family # 538 living in district 18 at dwelling # 529. The children at this time were: John age 6, Mary age 3 and Emily age 1.
Living next door at dwelling # 528 is another Wilson family. It has not been proven or documented but I believe they are William’s parents and other siblings. They are Eliga Wilson age 72, a farmer with real estate valued at 400, and his wife Nancy Wilson age 60 with Mahala age 35 (f) and Hubbard age 25 (m).
We have not been able to find a marriage for William D. Wilson and Elizabeth Allen in North Carolina. It is believed that they were married in Virginia.
We are continuing to search . Any help will be appreciated.
