I currently have 2,378 names in my database and approximately 1000 more to enter. Unfortunately, this isn't all of them, yet. I am researching the following surnames that I descend from on my Dad's side:
Anderson, Bossard/Possert, Chevallereau, Clark, Clayton, DesChalets, Dunn, Ford, Gardner, Gaskill, Grinnell, Hall, Harkins, Jaquet, LeRoy, Link, Lowe, Mattocks, Mias/Mieus, Mook, Nichols, Oosteroom, Phillips, Pipper, Rellya/Ralya/Relyea/Relje, Rohleder, Snow, Staley, Warren, Williams, Westcott/Wescoat, Wodell, Wood. (Ranging from France>Canada>New York>Pennsylvania & Germany>Pennsylvania etc.)[Supposed to be cousins to 9 U.S. Presidents and four signers of the Magna Carta through the Mayflower connection.]
On my mother's side and my greatest obstacle:
Austin, Bertrand, Bineau, Boucherot, Burry/Boissi/Boissy, Charpentier, Cowan, Froxner, Gaudin, Harden, Kirby, Le Doux, Martin dit St. Jean, Meneaux, Meunier, Meyer, Oberfrank, Proulx/Prou, Reeh, Renaud, Renault dit Canada, Smith, Stevenson, Tessier, Wagner, Welsh. (This is what the migration looks like: Ohio & U.S.A. -> Ontario, Canada ->Michigan ; Bavaria -> Michigan ; Ireland -> Ontario, Canada ; France -> Quebec, Canada -> Ontario, Canada -> Michigan.)[I've been able to push the Welshes back two generations.][It also appears that we are descendants of Charlemagne through the de Billy line.]
I currently have 1,121 names in the database for my wife's family. I have also found out that she has ancestors who fought on both sides in The War Between The States.
We're currently researching the following surnames on her father's side:
Allgood/Algood, Beasley/Beazley, Bell, Bird, Bridges, Burson, Cook/Cooke, Dial, Dick, Du Sauchoy, Hames, Hardin, Head, Hoge, Hume, Hunter, Jolly, Jones, Lambert, Laster, Lynch, Martin, McAllister, Mills, Morris, Naish, Pullman, Rossignol, Singletary, Snead, Sorrells, Still, Stockbridge, Thornton, Wiggins, Willis. (All southern families. Possibly moving from coastal areas to Georgia.)
On her mother's side:
Burne, Clower, Cooke, Davis, Draper, Dunham, Dunnam, Morgan, Parker, Port, Ridley, Shuler, Singletary, Steward, Stockbridge, Valentine, Walker, Watson, Wood, Wright, York, Zachery. (From Pennsylvania -> Virginia -> NC & SC -> GA -> TN -> AL.)
Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share what info I have. Also, I am interested in Civil War units mustered in from the Crawford/Mercer County area of PA and adjoining areas of OH.
