I am researching the ancestry of Greenberry C. Ray, who was born in Greenville District, SC in 1802. Moved to AL as a young man, married Catherine Collins, then moved with his family to Fulton,Itawamba County, MS. In 1869 his extended family moved to Johnson Co., TX. His son William G. Ray (my G-grandfather)settled in Hot Spring Co., AR. This line includes Ray, Collins, Cathey, Sehorn and Drake.
I'm also tracing Russell ancestry from the line of George Russell who moved to Wautaga TN about 1769 from Virginia and who married Elizabeth Bean - whose brother William Bean married George's sister Lydia Russell. Many of this bunch were involved in the Rev. War and with the 'State of Franklin' movement. Names in the Russell line include: Russell, Ford, Hudson, McCullough, and Bean.

On my wife's side of the family, we are researching the Page, Buck, and Nichols families of Maine and PA, and Unkles of NY and PA. I also have information on the O'Brien family of Reading, PA. which ties into the Bucks and to N. B. Browne of Philadelphia.

Please contact me if you have additional information to share along my lines. Much of the information in my pages is derived from the work of others and I try to cite their efforts. I'm sure that much of this information is not "the gospel truth".
