Married: 1st SUSAN/SUSANNA FLOWERS (abt 1847, MS-1880-1888, LA) Married 1886, Caldwell Parish, LA. (Susan's last name may have been FLORIO.) 2nd ELLA SEARS (5/1872,LA-6/1956, Ouachita Parish, LA) Married 1888, Catahoula Parish, LA. Ella later married W.E. FRANKS. Isaac Lee SOLOMON (8/1897-7/1969) Married Verdell. Family story says that Isaac SOLOMON may have been a Russian Jew immigrant who came to America with his brother and/or father. According to his Confederate Pension Application he was born 1/15/1845 in Alabama. He served in Company C, 30th Regiment Alabama Infantry for the Confederate States Army during the Civil War. The family story is that after the Civil War a carpetbagger swindled Isaac out of his land and he went to Missouri where he and his brother ran with an outlaw gang. According to his Confederate Pension Application he was in Louisiana by the 2nd year after the war ended. He appears on the 1870 census in Winn Parish. Isaac died in the 1927 Louisiana flood. SEARS (b. 1876,LA-1944,LA). Married Annie O? 6. Sarah Ann SEARS (b. abt 1878,LA). Married Ivy HASLEY. Robert SEARS served in the Civil War in Co C, Pargoud's Battallion. He may have been married 1st to Mary Elizabeth Hazzard in Caldwell Parish. His middle name may have been Cunnigan. |
