I am seaching for parents of Aaron Deforest Stevens,of Chicago IL, who was born in New York state in May 1857. He married Nancy J McLemore about 1876, and had two children, Francis Sutherland Stevens, and Frederick D. Stevens. Aaron Stevens appears in Chicago IL 1880 US Census at age 23. Both of his parents are listed in the 1900 census as being born in MI, but his death certificate lists them as living in NY at the time of his birth.
Also searching for parents of William L. Crawford, born 1810, who lived in the Elkton KY area until the late 1860s. He married Nancy Knight in Nov, 1832, and later married Ellen C. Stevenson in Feb 1848. He had 8 children; John, Nancy F., Elizabeth, Louisa, Mary J., Martha L., James G., and George S. He owned 105 acres in the Whippoorwill water-course of Todd County,KY, just north of Elkton, KY, in a settlement called Claymour.
