Ancestors of Kimberly Hinson Taylor

Updated May 6, 2007

Welcome! Thanks for stopping by. On my Father's side, I'm searching for information on the SKINNER, CRUM, Moorer families and the HINSON, WILLIAMS families. These families settled in Butler County, Alabama and some migrated there from South Carolina. Some later moved from Alabama to Texas.

On my Mother's side, I'm searching for information on the BRIGGS, BREHMAN and WILSON, KIMBLE families of Crawford County, Ohio.

My husband's family knows very little about their ancestors so I've got my work cut out for me. His maternal grandfather's name was Curtis Holloway MARKER, born December 3, 1900, in Etowah County, AL. Curtis H. Marker's father's name was John MARKER who was married to Emma HERRING. Very little is known about the Taylor ancestors and is such a common name that it's hard and tedious to research files. My husband's paternal grandparents were a Taylor and Willingham union in Alabama.

If anyone has any information on any of these names I'd love to hear from you and share information! I might add, I've met three cousins online since I've been researching my family and I've met one in person. The internet is such a wonderful tool! (I lost all of my hard drive information and am stuck with the fun job of re-entering all of my unsaved information! Any files shared will be a slow process on my end at this point. Lesson learned: back up files often!)

I've submitted reports below for you to view. In an effort to protect the privacy of living relatives, I've limited the number of generations contained in the reports. There are a couple of interesting stories written in the notes, but for the most part the notes are simply tidbits of information. My sources aren't listed by I will say they are either family Bible information or oral accounts from family members as well as marriage licenses and SSDI. I will try to update information as it's compiled. Thanks for taking the time to view this page. Please contact me if we have common ancestors.

God bless and have a great day!
